GDG Flutter Jam

Flutter is Google's mobile app SDK that allows you to develop applications for both Android and iOS from a single codebase.

Want to get started on building Flutter apps?

Join us for our Flutter Study Jam! Together we'll work through the Flutter Udacity Course prepared by Google instructors. You will be able to get hands-on experience with Flutter and build a Flutter app while learning the fundamentals.

What to bring?

Bring a laptop! The course will run on all of the latest versions of the popular browsers. For the best experience, the laptop should have Flutter installed on it prior to starting the study jam to save time. Windows/Linux/Mac would all be fine. Make Your Plants Smart

You have problems watering your plants? You keep forgetting to water them? Want to build something cool to save your plants?!

In this workshop you will have the opportunity to be introduced to and use Digital Fabrication machines and Arduino platforms to solve this problem and create smart plants!

You will learn the basics of 3D and CNC machines and learn how Arduino works!

This workshop will walk you through the steps you want to take to build your first prototype. This workshop is for enthusiastic total beginners.

In this intro you will learn the fundamental HTML elements, semantics and a little bit of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) You will also learn the basics of CSS to add style to your websites.

Design Professional Presentations

Learn how to create clean, elegant and professional designs for your presentations. We will be using InDesign to create templates using columns and grids. We will go over the basics of InDesign to help you figure out the best layout designs for your specific needs.

Eco-Innovation Hackathon: A 2-Day Hackathon

Collaboration with CEWAS Middle East X Re:Coded House

Water, sanitation and waste problems are impacting our environment, it's time we address these problems with innovative and sustainable solutions.

On 19th and 20th of July 2019, cewas Middle East, BORDA WesCa, Re:Coded, Response Innovation Lab, University of Kurdistan Hewler UKH and Field Ready are organising the first environmental hackathon in KRI.

If you are over 18 years old and enthusiastic about developing an environmental business idea, take your chance and apply now. Any professional and academic background is welcome! It’s all about creativity, environmental ideas and passion, and an interest in a new career path – your own business ;).

During the hackathon, you will be working in teams on designing solutions for social business in the water, sanitation and waste sector. The hackathon will be a fun event, with lots of activities and experts that will help you in the process. You'll have access to Re:Coded creative working space and use the Field Ready: Erbil Makerspace to prototype your ideas. The winning teams will get unique prizes and support to further develop their solutions and network with like-minded innovators and professionals.

Logo Design Process

Let's demystify the logo design process together!

Come to learn the one of the many ways to approach a brief from a client, and break down the elements of creating to an industry standard logo. We will cover the various stages, how to do the research and discuss managing the harder parts of being creative on the spot. We will have hands on activities and exercises to follow along.
